I love to go check our tree, Lib! We go by between Peregrine stops! I'll be keeping an eye on it again this spring to make sure it's okay, and so do many others check on this beloved tree.

Funny.... there's an old bur oak I check on every chance I get so I know what you mean about keeping an "eye" on it. If I lived out your way... It'd be added to my "watch" list that only has one tree on it and that's the bur oak I mentioned. The tree is way cool. I think I would have preferred if they had put the plaque in the ground instead of attaching it to OUR tree but... I guess that's the way they did things back in the 60's and the tree doesn't seem to be any worse for the wear.

While out looking for our urban Peregrines today, we checked on Equil's past-avatar 300+y/o Sycamore tree in Buffalo. She's still towering over the other trees, and the houses on this quaint block, and was full and leafy this summer!

Sycamores in winter always look to me like dancers.
