Last fall... frosted rhubarb is topped off with the seasons tomato excess for added nutrients.

I'm thinking this is either a gazania ....

Or black eyed susans...

I think so too Equil. Those photos and the ones of the frost flower are spectacular!

I have frost photos but from an artists book called "Frost".

The frost photo book has ethereal qualities. Is the paper home made? You don't actually write on it do you?

Hi Dirty Kness,
Thanks for the lovely comment.
I would consider the Frost Book an artists book and complete as it is.
Four of the pages have text about different kinds of frost, the rest are paper painting;
made of texturing, altering and adding to, drawing on, and painting on paper.
Here's a closer view of the pages with text.

The frost flower page was inspired by a photo on this site.

Do you offer them for sale? That is particularly beautiful and I also believe it is complete just as it is.

Your frost book would be so much nicer as a coffee table book than the magazines we traditionally find on coffee tables.

They almost look as if they were scratched onto tin foil. Hey.... That's an idea!

Thanks Lorax, I do offer a few artists books for sale usually when I exhibit with a book arts group. They can be handled, and some have survived exhibits where they were viewed and held by many people but they are paper so need to be protected.

havalotta, concerning your suggestion to use tin foil I do have some pieces that are paper and graphite that look like metal and some people have suggested I work with metal but so far I have resisted, claiming paper as my primary medium. I like the ephemeral quality of it.

The photo is an example of paper looking like metal from a series based on mythology.
This one is called Source or alternately Pandoras Box.
This piece is paper, paint and graphite and a tiny wisp of wire.
