I tried it tonite and it worked! I sliced a bunch a cherry toms, tossed them with EVOO, Bosari and fresh cut basil, and scattered them on a spinach and feta pizza!

I'm not a tomato fan unless they are made into ketchup, sauce, or juice, but that was a clever idea!

OMG!!!! Sage!!!! You rock!!! This is the 2nd time this year somebody's posted something that's GENIUS!!! Too bad you didn't post it before I had to slice all these little tidbits in half to feed my dehydrator and that's the 5th batch I've collected from my plants!!! There's another 5 batches hanging on the vines ripening right now so I'm like doing a happy dance over your find. Oh.... and those are the 'Sweet Million' cherry tomatoes I was telling you about that would be good for a balcony pot.

Roger just laughed and said we're nuts! . On my second try, I put the bottom lid right-side up so the toms wouldn't roll out, then the top lid and pressed down. It worked even better! Glad you have use for the hack, Lib!

Tell Roger dearest that if he had to come home from work and stand for over an hour in 1 spot slicing little slippery things that were shooting out from between his fingers like little marbles.... he'd be doing a happy dance like I am over this find too!! We're not nuts!!! He's just not getting that this could cut our time slicing in half!!! I'd rather sit on my dead arse doing nothing than stand there slicing marbles in half!!! I honestly haven't tried it yet but.... it definitely looks like it's a time and finger tip saver to me. I'll be giving it a try this weekend when I go pick another boatload of sweet millions. Those little tomatoes in the collander were all sliced and dehydrated this week or I'd be giving that "hack" a try right now.

Dear Roger just crawled out of a swamp all mucky! He's bathing now at an outdoor spigot in a nearby park!

Tell that swampy creature from the deep dark lagoon to try slicing cherry tomatoes the "old" way then try the new way soon as he's all cleaned up and then I wanna know if he still thinks we're certifiable for getting all excited over a find like this!!!

Default ~he crawled out of the swamp~

I was in a chair at the other end of the swamp when I thought I heard a yell for help! So I picked up my binocs and scanned the swamp! Nothing. Then my cell rang. Luckily I was wearing pants with pockets and since Roger said he was going to check out a trail I stuck the phone in my pocket! Don't usually take it out of the car.

So he said, "Come quick!" I said, "Where are you?" He said, "come down to where we usually see the Wood Ducks, before it's too late!"

Note: Swamp may be a misnomer now, after two years without rain or snow, this wetland no longer is. It used to be full of GBHe, GrHe, GrEg, BeKi, and now the turtles cannot even find water~~~
