A note of interest...

Everyone that voted gave a vote for the Franklin's Bumble Bee (Bombus franklini). A clear number one win.

The only nominated species that did not receive a single vote were the two endangered June Bugs.

Three of the Top Ten endangered species chosen were mussels.

Of the ones I had voted for, all slid in but three. Not bad!
they were out voted by the the two clams and the spider.

Yes!!! Applause for YOU!!! I really got the biggest kick out of following all the links and making my nominations by going over the Feds' list. I did really like the "paint jobs" on some of the beetles but.... I had to run with my gut on the order of which were the most "worthy" based on what I'd read.
