My top ten.
1. American Burying Beetle (Nicrophorus americanus) I couldn't resist the beetle that exhibits parental care! 4. Eastern Beach Tiger beetle (Cicindela dorsalis) Seeing somthing like that upon the beach would be awesome! 10.Northern Riffleshell (Epioblasma torulosa rangiana) Because if those survive you know you have well oxygented water. 23.Franklin bumble bee (Bombus franklini) AND NeWiscs.... Rusty Patched Bumble Bee (Bombus affinis) We can use all the bees we can get! 16.Hine’s Emerald Dragonfly (Somatochlora hineana) AND 17.Spatterdock Darner Dragonfly (Aeshna mutata) because I'm partial to the dragons. 18.Pecatonica River Mayfly (Acanthametropus pecatonica) So rare they don't even have photos of it as an adult! 19.Nashville crayfish (Orconectes shoupi) Scavengers are worthy too! 21.Kentucky Cave Shrimp (Palaemonias ganteri) Anything that lives in such a dismal space deserves to be saved. 13.Karner Blue Butterfly (Lycaeides melissa samuelis) and 14.Northern Blue Butterfly (Lycaeides idas) slide in as well as I had a hard time narrowing it down to 10
