Here's a shot from last week, stuff growing on a dead log: the purple is a mushroom called (I think) Trichaptum biforme with another mushroom (orange) at the top, Stereum complicatum, and some nice, green lichen for contrast.

"with another mushroom (orange) at the top, Stereum complicatum" I think that orange one in the upper left is a-live and it's trying to tell us something!!!! "Portrait of a Tiger Beetle as a Young Man (or Woman)" I've NEVER seen anything like that. Way cool. It looks like a pokemon critter or something.
