I just happen to be going through my photos when I noticed you wondering if anyone had leaf photos........
I have more if you want but do you really want them mixed into this thread?

This shot has been cropped to just the reflection; not otherwise processed.

Cool shot of the heron. Try flipping him and re enter it for us.
I think it would look really neat that way. The reeds become his legs!

What programs do you use to make these photos? I have paint and some sort of a basic photo storage system from 2004 that crops and rotates. It does remove redeye if you can line up the + over a red eye. I have difficulty lining up the + over those tiny eyeballs to remove the red. I'd be happy with a photo editing program that let me get rid of red eye but a few fun effects would be welcome. Suggest away and let me know the prices if you remember what you paid.

I have photo impression. It actually came free with my camera, which ironically, cost just as much as the program does. I used it when I first got the camera, and didn't care for it. But now that I woke up and realize what it does, it's pretty cool. http://www.arcsoft.com/estore/photo_products.asp
Some people use GIMP, which is a free program, and similar to photo shop elements. I found it kind of complicated myself. I didn't get the concept of using layers I guess. If you had the time, it would be a nice program, but I just don't have that much time to learn a program, and a half an hour to edit each photo. Photoshop elements runs about $80-$90, alot of people use it, but like I said if it is like GIMP, I don't think I want it, and it also consumes alot of memory and needs alot of RAM. Photo impact by Corel is also popular. I want to get this but my computer won't support it. I have a friend who uses it, and loves it. Also around $80. Most of these have free trials you can download and try for a month too which is nice. For HDR, I use Photomatix. easy to use, and easy to download. Took about 10 minutes to have it up and running on dial up. I dunno, it doesn't watermark my HDRs either so I will continue to use the free version. I'm really starting to get the hang of it. I can't wait for fall, because it's going to make for some great landscape editing. I used it on a few older fall landscapes and it is awesome. From what I have read on photo forums, it is all the rage right now, and what people are buying as far as prints go. |
