Yes it is pretty as in pretty invasive. He he he he he. That's a super macro shot of Garlic Mustard. Do you still think it's pretty now that you know what it is?
I took a closer look at buteojamaicensi's photos. That first wall is awesome. The soldier row adds a lot of character to it. I wonder how a shorter version could be integrated into a fernery. What a great backdrop for ferns that would make.

![]() ![]() The Strawberries are full of blooms at this point, and promising plenty of yummy fruits to come. I like plants, you can use a tripod and they tend to hold still for you ![]() ![]() I've been trying to get pictures of the frogs in Michelle's little pond for a while now, and I finally decided I'd just scare them and then wait for them to re-surface. I was prone on the large rock holding as still as I could and after a while they started to resurface. ![]() For this picture I was hanging over the edge of the rock with the camera just about in the water about three inches from the frog. In the uncropped version you can see the shadow of my camera lens. It took me around fifteen minutes of moving ever so slowly closer to get this shot. By this point I was starting to shake from the fatigue of holding myself out over the edge of the rock, but it was so worth it! I couldn't quite hold still enough to get a perfect focus, but I'll take what I can. For reference the frog is little smaller than a standard matchbox car. Pretty soon the dragonflies should start making an appearance, and I cannot wait! |
