Is that a gooseberry blossom? I see a dogwood behind it. It's pretty.

I haven't had as much time to go out and take shots for the contest as I'd like so I figured I'd grab some old pics from May of last year and post those.

Please ignore the attached photo below. It is a duplicate and I couldn't figure out how to delete it.

Hey Maggy you're getting me all wet. Love that last shot. He looks a little blue around the edges. What makes him glow so cool?

I took those pictures with a VistaPix IS70 Digital Spotting scope. On bright days way too much light gets into the lens and it produces that effect. I need to make me a lens hood for the scope to see if that helps or try shielding the scope in some way. While at times the effects may be cool, it can ruin an otherwise good shot, or so I've felt.

Here's one such shot

LOL! Someone else once asked if one of my eagles was from Chernobyl. It was then that I determined I needed a better camera, or rather one in which I had access to much more control.

I did get this shot the other day when I was getting home from work. I pulled up in my driveway and saw this Anhinga drying out in my neighbors backyard.
