WOW What a sighting! In the tree and in the air.
Are the masked bandits hibernating in the tree or just stopping by for a visit?

We've a possum visiting us this Winter. He waddles in co cute!
Usually a fox come Winter but so far he's been a no show. We also usually have the crows dining upon our leftovers but they have not been around either. I sure hope no one took to poisoning them as I had really enjoyed their company over the years. Perhaps the eagle got them. Who knows unless you find a bod but even then how would you know if it was poisoned unless you took it someplace.

hummmph, not exactly sure, hibernation tho--I kind of doubt, doesn't really get that cold here [it was in the 70's F. yesterday]. I do know this... what drawn me into the making the shot...I heard all this ruckus, and when I looked I saw a squirrel being flug while screaming from the den (kind of funny looking actually), and I thought it was one of those pesky house cats wrecking havoc, as they do sometimes. But I found two coons going thru the tree, as it is definitely a 2 apartment den and they came to invade I suppose, but maybe they wanted the den for themselves, maybe not, tis about that time to get ready for this year's litter of raccoons.

Hmmm, so I take it the POM contests are over? If so, then that means I can safely share an image here, since I edit everything I shoot now a days and that was a contest no no. I have not been out and about yet this February but I will share a few images from January and a much warmer locale. Oh, and kind of funny story o go along with the first image. The first image is from Haulover Beach in North Miami, Florida. Unbeknownst to me the beach I was shooting at was clothing optional. Imagine my surprise when I saw naked bodies walking down the beach! The rest of the images I shot at a place called the Blue Hole on Big Pine Key.
