This little lots 'o dots guy ended up in my little preform 30-gallon water feature a few days before we left on our trip. I'd emptied it but.... it rained again and filled up and there he was trapped at the bottom. Isn't he just the cutest lil "thang">>>? I put him on my finger so you could see how tiny and vulnerable he is.... that's the photo I'm entering not the other 1. He's out in the woods now so he can find a place to hunker down for the winter.

linrose> Ya know something.... I think October is 1 of my favorite months too.... it's cool.... kids are back in school so there's less competition on the trails and.... the color is out of this world!!! 2nd favorite month would be May.... I love the spring ephemerals and the chorus of frogs.

Oh he is *tiny* and quite cute/cool-looking.

The spring (and the spring ephemerals) has always been a favorite time for me...but I'm starting to appreciate fall much more as well.

May is definitely up there with me too. Even April gets kudos, spring comes early down here, with the dogwoods and redbuds blooming in mid-month.

I took those pix of our field this morning dap, I love the light slanting through the early morning fog this time of year. October is a great month for photography lighting.

From this year's meetup at Cape May. Note Equilibrium standing in the second photo.

You have me looking forward to spring already! (especially since I added three redbud to the dogwoods we put in the yard over the past few years...not that they'll bloom this spring, but still!)

I thought I recognized your property. Great shots, great lighting...and a pretty great month as well. I guess I'll enjoy fall...and hopefully the winter (as much as I can--more than I used to now that we have our property)...then spring will be that much sweeter.

Great shots, MrILTA. Too bad we had to turn back early and missed the other parks and Cape May. I love the seaside goldenrod...cool that it is still blooming.

Me too...makes me want to go to the beach again--it has been a while. We'll have to add Cape May to our list.
