Congrats to you both. Both entries were worthy of the honor (and the honey).

This is where I play around with template options, insert text and photos.
It's a lot of fun but at times, it can also be quite the challenge.
Attachment 38249
A quickie screen capture (Guide Lines inclusive)

Attachment 38250
A p.d.f. for printing an 8x10 copy.

Congratulations!
Thanks, havalotta. Somehow the photo looks better to me; your design really draws the eye to the photo.

Thank, Bulu.

I actually received the honey today! That was fast!

Thanks again, MrILoveTheAnts. (By the way, your book looks fantastic. Great job!)

Choosing a template to go along with a photo is the hardest part. Especially when it comes to the guys.
I liked your photo in one of the floral templates very much but I feared it might appear too feminine for display. THEN it hit me....It was NOT native so out it went and I..... in search of something more appropriate. I was afraid every time you looked at it, you might cringe.
I wanted it to be something....more pleasant.

Did you receive your book with your honey? I haven't received mine yet but am so looking forward to the day it is sent.
It's definitely going to be a coffee table grab.

Smile...I'm sure no one knows all the time and decisions that go into your projects.

Yes, I got the book with the honey. Kill two birds with one stone--not that that idiom goes over well on this forum, I'm sure. Yes, I look forward to grabbing it to read...and add it to my other native plant books.

I just wanted to say a special thank you to MrILoveTheAnts for his offer of his honey for a prize. I received the honey yesterday and immediately put some bread in the toaster, opened the jar, and gave it a taste!

What a great prize! Thank you for all the work that went into preparing it (and sending it out)...it is nice to know that your bees likely visited a lot of native flowers to aid in the production of this sweet treat.

Yes, I finally got around to sending those all out to everyone who let me use their photos (with a few exceptions). I think the latest one to arrive is next Wednesday, but I was told they should all be delivered before then.
