Dap, I didn't know Carolina wrens liked it that far north. They are one of my most common birds. I am glad you have a few to watch - with their upturned tails and white eyebrows, they always look cheeky to me.
As requested, my angry yellow rumped warbler (have y'all seen that photo of an angry bluebird that came out 20+ years ago and was on cards, knick knacks etc? This one reminded me of that.), and misc other birds.

I got a few photos today while spending time in the woods, being healed by Mother Nature

Very cool photos, kchd! I love your moss forest. I see your frogs are already out. Something (prob a toad) was hopping in the leaf litter by my pond today, but most of my amphibians are still asleep - I found one hibernating bull frog in the debris when I was trying to clear out my stream a bit, and had to cease and desist my efforts.

kchd> I liked the composition of the snow photo. Industry meets nature. The peeker plant smoke stack can be seen "peeking" through the "break" in the roadside plantings. I couldn't have picked a better time for taking photos... the sun was bright and since the snow had just stopped falling.... everything was fresh and clean. It was a golden opportunity to "showcase" that roadside planting that was 100% locally native species so I pulled over and took the photo!!!
-- It's gonna be a while before I see any moss like what you took photos of!!! They're predicting 6"-10" of the white "stuff" starting sometime tomorrow for us!!! That means we'll get just enough to make driving into work miserable or.... we'll get a blizzard and won't be able to make it into work at all. -- Dappy> your little wren photo has the "feel" that photo that frog photo I stole from you had. I'm still using that frog photo as my desk top wallpaper on my laptop. Hmmmm..... maybe time for a change? ![]() -- turttle> I'm loving that little pine siskin!!!
