Nailing down the species of a willow can be tough. They are notoriously promiscuous plants. There are a lot of natural as well as horticultural hybrids. I once had a class on identifying plants where the instructor had this advice when it came to ID'ing a species of willow: "If you want to identify a species of willow take 2 aspirin, lie down for a couple of hours, and hope that the desire goes away."

WG> "Sage needs time off. You are judging her contest this month." Ya know how her title says official non-gardener.... well.... mine should say official non-photographer. I'll get my kids to help me like I did when I had that snag contest. That's the best I can do.... I wasn't kidding when I said I was a point and click photographer.
