My money is on it's being an opossum - sure see a lot of dead ones around here...

Sorry, but I'm going to give a shove to all of this carrion and become "The new bully on the block" that'sa gonna break ALLA ya bubbles.

An opossums ears are almost black, Pretty much hairless and much larger than this critters...Kind of like a bats wings.
The snout like appendage appears to be a fore-leg that has been twisted into a contorted position.
A hind foot brought up over its back...does not appear to have the long claws an anteater would have.
My conclusion.... The shading of it's fur, the fur covered ears and the elongated toes leads me to believe it to be......
