I'd like to hear MrILoveTheAnts comments about the wet bee face (slide 7). Well, anyone's comments, for that matter.

The white faced fly was cute in his own little way.
What is that contraption tapped to his camera?
Something to block the sun from the lens?

He's certainly got his technique down, with wonderful results. I strongly suspect that he's using a technique called focus stacking. It involves taking a few photos of his subject, each one focused slightly differently. When the photos are combined, the resulting image has much more depth of sharp focus than can be achieved in one exposure.

I hang around the Photocamel forums sometimes, and there's a guy who uses this technique a lot, and gets comparable results. Click here to see his Flickr photos.
