This very cool caterpillar hitched a ride with me this morning. I posted this on facebook and was told this is a saddleback caterpillar. They can sting. I never touch anything I find.

hello Sage! I post nature things on a Maryland natural areas fb site. They id'd the caterpillar. I may have used bugguide.net after being directed there via this forum. I sent you a pm with my facebook info. Nice to hear from you. Hope you are feeling better.

I think it might be a jumping bush cricket?

We spotted this pretty bug on my daughter's white picket fence. It looks as if it's decorated with mosaics.
