Default Unknown Lizard

Okay, not the best pic...it was trying to get away from me, I guess, so can't show its head . I just don't know this one...I looked through some Texas lizard pics online...and nothing! So just in case anyone might have a suggestion on ID...thought I'd ask!

It looks like what they call an "alligator lizard" in California, so I looked that up and Texas has one too. It looks like its tail has grown back from being damaged or torn off.

Well, thanks! That second link pic makes me believe that's probably it! I'm more used to seeing the Texas Spiny Lizard here (as far as the larger lizards). So when I saw this one, I knew I had another lizard to learn about. This area is not exactly very safe for for critters, so I can believe it had to grow another tail. Poor lizard, I've seen pets chasing lizards around this area...I try to help them when I can.
