You got me. Is this a trick question? They're all cheap when they're made for greenhouse intake shutters... they're all made overseas... if you can get one to last through a season without frying and cooking your plants you're doing good. Sore subject... my motor fried and plants cooked then a mouse got in and died on a circuit board and my plants froze. Maybe try a commercial grade motor sold for livestock housing like this one and cross your fingers, Shutter Motor Let me know if you find anything I could try. I don't know anything about the Bayliss. I was looking at some for a future cold frame but... I'm not moving onto another project until I get my greenhouse woes straightened out. If I find my little file with the links, I'll come back and give them to you. I did find a few things that were interesting but I'd have to do what you're doing and find somebody using them. The glowing testimonials posted at the sites selling them don't do it for me anymore...

I've heard of people using windshield wiper motors. A car's power window motor might work, too.

Windshield motors are built to last. I wonder how they did that? Green Man> here's the two links I had stashed, : Solexx Universal Solar Powered Vent Opener [SOL-HV-10] - $79.99 and Automatic Greenhouse Vent Openers & Circulation Fans
