You're new. It's difficult maneuvering around a new site.
Glad I was able to help. ![]()

No I don't use picasa. I don't know what it is.
I tried following fearless instructions on how to screen capture as instructed and this is all the farther I could go.... Quote.... start > programs > accessories > paint open the free program click print screen button on your keyboard once. go back to the MS Paint program. Upper tool bar displays edit drop down menu paint > edit > paste > right click anywhere with your mouse > paste Nothing happens.... Am I suppose to high light over the entire page or whatever I want to keep? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have not been able to continue below this line. Screen shot shows up in work space. go back to upper paint tool bar. paint > file > save as > title the image & save to a file. upload to post like you would a photo.

I managed to do it. It was strange though. I don't want to try and teach this after just doing it once, but after you get into the paint section, you go back to the page or whatever you want on your computer, then click print screen, you don't see anything after the click on print screen. Then go back to the paint page which should still be open and paste it there. Then go to top of the paint screen and click file, and save as, then go to where you want it to go and click save. Its not as bad as that sounds, I had no problem at all and I'm not a techey at all.

I don't see the "print screen" area you're referring to.
I did find an area in the thread tool box above that shows a printable version allowing me to print ONE page. YEY!!!!!!!!! Before finding this I had to print the ENTIRE thread just to get the one page of info I wanted to keep. You know how long some of them become....What a waste of ink that was! Well I wasn't able to figure out the screen catch but at least I learned something from playing around so it wasn't a total bust....

Are you trying to copy and save pix posted here on WG?
What do you use for an editing program? This is free: Picasa I use it for organizing my pix, cropping, tweaking. For further editing I use Photoshop which is not free. If you have Picasa, screencaps is a snap and you don't need to use Paint. |

Sometimes I see a recipe, or a bit of a thread I'd like to keep in print. Usually it's instructions on how to do something I want to save....
I can't get this goofy thing to print only ONE page! It won't let me select current page. The entire thread spits out!
