Default Do we have any members with graphics experience?

We are in the process of launching a new feature and revamping an existing feature.

We are in need of stylized graphics that provide a guest with an idea of what WG is all about.

We like this design and what it conveys to the viewer:

We would like the continent of North America to appear in the center.

We like this design and what it conveys to the viewer:

We would be interested in WG versions of both of the above.

No graphic experience here but I like a challenge so will play around with them.

Can anyone help me figure out how to cut a circle out of one and put it into another?

One thing you could try (for what you are describing) is to have the two images on two layers and use a mask. Check your help files (in your software) for MASK and it may be what you are looking for.

Sorry Hava and Quiet, but altering the existing image for any official use here would be a Bad Idea. There are copyright laws that have to be followed.

I would offer to make something, but I am lacking a tablet. (A tablet is the necessary tool for drawing at a computer.)

I dunno. . . I suppose I made my avatar with only a mouse. If I can find sometime, I may take a stab at it.

Hey Quiet, I love the hat!

Stoloniferous is correct. It's a bad idea.

Those two images represent a feeling of what we are interested in conveying to a guest.

Ugh. . . no, I have just reminded myself that drawing with a mouse is right up there with sticking a fork in your eye. Sorry.

Wasn't it the big boys themselves asking us to do something with their logo for them.
Sorry if I misunderstood.

You should not alter someone's photo or artwork without their permission, havalotta. It is copyright infringement. I think that WG was using those images as an example.

The anchor photo on our home index page is owned by starlisa. She generously allowed us to use it.

The graphics images posted are logos to other organizations. They are protected.

We would like to come up with our own graphics. A WG version of both. The tree of life and the world as our only nest egg are powerful images.

I see what you are referring to now.
All set to try another route perhaps later on.
