Here are some bald eagle shots, one is a juvenile. They are quite popular I guess.

Unsure of what it was but
~Photos of Raptors~-dscf8452.jpg
I ALMOST caught it.
The pontoon just had to lurch right when I snapped it.
Sort of looks like it might have picked up a duck.

From the portion visible, it looks like an osprey with a fish or duck.

wise owl

This Raptor thread has been so now I'm going to it up. This is one of the few raptors, Peregrine Falcons, taken this past week and still on my laptop. I finally got almost all photos backed up to an external hard-drive and deleted from the laptop, freeing up over half the hard drive!

Post your raptor photos here! That would be any kind of bird of prey, especially hawks, falcons, eagles, owls, osprey and Crested Caracara!

owl ~Short-eared Owls~

In the past week we have driven about an hour away to watch for Short-eared Owls reported on the birding list. Yea! Got some shots! I saw at least seven, though eleven have been reported by real birders! Aren't they cute?

About how far away from them were you when you took those photos?
