Babies

Both of my daughters work for a veterinarian that also does wildlife rehab. For the last two months they have been bringing home baby birds and taking care of them until time. I figured I'd start a thread where I could post the various babies that we've had coming through our house. Some of the shots I'll be including will be on release days.

I invite each of you to post your baby shots here. I'd enjoy looking at them and it can become an informative visual place for seeing what the individual immature birds look like.

Starting off...
Picture #1 five bluebird babies
Picture #2 three mourning dove babies
Picture #3 a young bluejay just released
Picture #4 one of the five baby bluebirds from picture #1 on release day
Picture #5 one of the five baby bluebirds from picture #1 on release day

The bluebirds babies in these photos are from a pair of bluebirds nesting in our yard. For the last few days they've been leading the babies to the feeders in our yard and then feeding them seeds from the feeders.

#1 A face only a mother would love. Demanding looking little fella isn't he!

How did your daughter come by the baby blues? I'm glad she did.

Maybe the blues brothers?
The little cheepers sure can sing for their supper!

MaggyNoLia, you should be so proud of both of your daughters. Those photos are wonderful success stories.
