Well YA! When you capture a fatty like that!
I guess I take them for granted seeing them so often. They are quite comical though when you see them eyeing up a worm with their heads half cocked and even in their struggles pulling it from the soil.

She had her feathers all poofed out because it was cold. Its not a great pic, but I love how fat she looked.

Here is a picture of a Saw-whet from the area I used to live. They came to the same cedar/juniper stand every winter.

I noticed I had advanced in the food chain to a great horned owl and wanted a new avatar to fit. Sage came to my rescue and donated one of her photos for me to use. Wasn't she a sweety!
