^ Well, that was taken by my Dad on his camera phone, so no better luck! With that image though, I assumed it was likely some sort of wading bird/heron, but could find nothing matching it...
OK, now this one might be easier. I found it today on the ground, after which it flew up on this branch and has stayed there ever since (I think it may be hurt)... |

It's probably a juvenile waiting for its parents to feed it. I wouldn't assume it's hurt or abandoned.

I'd guess it to be a young white winged dove not able to fly on it's own much yet See: Dove Central

I found this banded, semiplume feather about ~2.75" long yesterday alongside a trail at a park in Texas. I couldn't identify it using this site or Feather Atlas...although it seems to resemble some owls, wrens, or other raptors? Anyone know what it is from?

This little cutie must have flown into a window. It was on my client’s Manhattan terrace. Fortunately it recovered and flew off. Northern Parula? Yellow throated vireo?

Sorry I'm not versed in feathers but the little bird is simply charming!

A small flock of these gulls were seen flying overhead at a park in central Texas. They seem to resemble Black-legged Kittiwake's (Rissa tridactyla), although they are supposed to be bicoastal and in Europe? So, what is it?

At home in Ohio this winter but am enjoying the local birds. The sunflower seed outside the kitchen window brought house finches, goldfinches, chickadees, titmice, cardinals, Carolina wrens, juncos, pine siskins, and a downy woodpecker yesterday.
