Default New York Times Article: One Third of U.S. Bird Species Endangered, Survey Finds

The article at this link appeared in Fridayís New York Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/20/science/earth/20bird.html

Hereís a section from it which mentions some things individuals can do to try to help.

Quote:
...the report urged ordinary citizens to assist conservation by drinking shade-grown coffee (coffee-growing in the shade helps preserve the winter habitat of species like warblers), donating unused binoculars for distribution to biologists in the tropics, reducing pesticide use, landscaping with native plants and keeping pet cats indoors.

I apologize in advance that I probably wonít be able to keep up with this thread for a while. Itís just going to be a very busy weekend and week.
