I love that quote, Gloria...and I hope that my restoration provides even a fraction of those interactions, diversity, and (my own more simplified) complexities.

We haven't a hill in sight being located in a glacial valley like we are so I find myself drawn to the hills, mountains and the movement of the downward spill of water.
Thank you for your kind words, havalotta. When you were here, the meadow was not much more than a path through European grasses with a few natives sprinkled in. Once my smothering and seeding come to fruition, I hope it enhances the view so much more.

Speaking of the downhill spill of water...I hope to have that before too long as well. I began digging the larger pond for various pools of water to spill into.

At least you have your lake view if you have no hills or mountains. I recall living in Ohio for a short time and visiting Delaware--both are too flat for my tastes. I do love the mountains...or hills as those in the Rockies would refer to them.

That is true.....Love it when the wind kicks in and creates waves. Not often, but it reminds me of the ocean when it happens.
