My garden isn't a unified, pretty sight. It's a bunch of plants plopped down here and there, and I'm sure any container garden of mine would be the same. I liked those sites because they showed that with planning, your balcony can be as pretty or useful as a landscaped bed.
That way you get to pretend you're wandering through the woods and hoping you don't get poison ivy. ![]() If it doesn't I'm sure there's a desert dweller or 2 here that can suggest replacement plants for your cactus garden that will take the cold and still come back.

An exciting day - Joint effort of the DEC and SUNY@Buffalo
As we approached the university to meet up with the DEC person responsible for getting a nest box installed, we spotted the male Peregrine Falcon on the VA Hospital! The Peregrines hadn't been seen since October so this was very exciting to all of us! We hung around for a couple hours and saw the Pefa flying around the tower where the nest box is being installed. ![]() |

He was waiting for you to deliver his nest box - what took you so long? Nice shot!

![]() What was long and complicated? Getting the project approved and making it happen, or the actual installation of the box?
