I've been out romping. Can you tell? AND I may just disappear for another day tomorrow.
It's FINALLY warmed up here! YEY!!!!!!!! Now if only the sun would stay for a few days, I could work the raised bed into the game plan.

I say put them on both--not sure how others feel about dual posting.

That is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You should definitely enter it in photo of the month contest--and probably some other photo contests too. I absolutely *love* it!

Yup...I love the curling bark and the angle.

Glad to see you entered it.

Does anyone know which type?

This one could have gone anywhere, it's not a snag but it is (lots of cavities, no top!!!) still alive (attached leaves). An old beech, I can't believe it's still alive (at least I think it is or there would be no leaves still attached) but I applaud the park service for letting it stand in any case, I think it's kind of a monument in a way. We went to see sandhill cranes but found this interesting tree instead!

Excellent addition--maybe you can post it in the snag-alicious thread too.

I love the look of the first angle. Great looking tree--in its own way. I agree, I'm glad the park service let it stay.

Any chance you can get back in spring or summer to get a shot of the green leaves?
