I didn't want them well behaved!!! I wanted them sprawling and you're right.... that's exactly what they did. They made a break for my lawn... so much so and in so many different directions I couldn't get a photo of them if I wanted.... now that's URBAN sprawl I like!!! I can't tell you how productive those plants have been. I've got acorn squash coming up next and some honey dews and watermelons so I'm happy happy happy!!! There's a few more crooknecks out there too and something else I can't remember and I'm too lazy to go look it up my notes. I will say one thing.... I missed one of my patty pan squash and it ballooned hidden from my view. It's pretty funny looking.... it could be a garden horror story.... the patty pan that grew and grew and grew. I wonder if it's still edible.
