Default I tried growing sorghum… I bombed out….

None of my seed germinated…. I have no clue why it didn’t but it didn’t so I’m gonna try again next year using seed from a different source. Anywhooo…. if anyone else is interested… I found this website on growing sorghum that looks pretty interesting and I saved the info, ‘Sorghum FAQs', Sandhill Farm: FAQs about Sorghum

Sorry to hear that. Better luck next year.

Bummer! How long ago did you plant it? Did you direct seed it or start it in your greenhouse? I found something that said to plant about 15-20 days after corn, and that optimum temperature for germination is 60-65 degrees. Did you plant it all, or did you save some?

I got the seed the year before.... it was about 5 seeds per pack and I sowed it soon as I could in trays in the greenhouse which was last winter. This seed can't be direct sowed where I am. Nothing germinated from any of the seed packs and I'm pretty good with seed so about all I can come up with is I was given really old seed... either that or it was stored improperly and some sort of a seed weevil got to it. Who knows.... if at 1st you don't succeed.... try again and again.... and again.

They let you harvest some from the village we had stopped at this fall.
Will you be trying to sprout that next year? Does it need chilling first?
