Couple change their life and home to save energy

Excerpt from above:
Deweese's ranch-style home, corn stalks sprout from the flower beds just behind a row of perennials.

The lawn sports a slight indentation where the tubes of a geothermal heating system were burrowed hundreds of feet into the earth.

And inside the home, the light fixtures have been outfitted with energy efficient bulbs.
An example of a family attempting to implement green practices in their home. It would be interesting to visit in a few years and see which changes helped, and which were impractical in the long run.

Not to make a joke of this since we all need to start scaling back but.... did you see the latest mini hotel rooms, World's weirdest hotels? Now there's a good use for old drain pipes... turn them into mini-hotel rooms and charge money for people staying in them. Then there's these that are kinda cool, Purchasing a Tumbleweed Home. Bet they don't cost much to heat or cool.
