Groundbreaking new research has linked sodium fluoride to cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death worldwide. Researchers found that fluoride consumption directly stimulates the hardening of your arteries, a condition known as atherosclerosis that is highly correlated with the #1 killer. Sodium fluoride is currently added to the water supply of many cities worldwide, despite extreme opposition from health professionals and previous studies linking it to decreased IQ and infertility.

In their research, scientists examined...

I always said, they could kill us all through our supply of drinking water ......This being a little slower than I had anticipated.
I prefer the taste of well water myself...I'll take a bit of iron in my drink over that darn chlorine scented crud any day of the week!

Fluoride Already Shown to Cause 10,000 Cancer Deaths
excerpt from above:

Water fluoridation is a highly controversial topic, with many individuals voicing massive concern over the practice. In contrast, some stick to the concept that there isnít any association between fluoride and any real negative effects. Fluoride, however, is indeed a toxic substance, and has been tied with numerous health complications in well-established research. Fluoride can be found in many water supplies, toothpaste, and even food at alarming levels. While it may sound shocking to many, some research is even drawing a close connection between fluoride and an increased cancer risk...

We use a Brita filter for the chlorine: does anyone know if it filters fluoride as well?

I dunno. I've got an RO system with a DI phase for some of my more "sensitive" plants. I'm familiar with the system I have and that would take out chlorine and fluoride but I'm not familiar with the Brita filters. I just looked em up and some folk are saying they do and some are saying they don't so it might depend on which model you have if there's more than 1 available for sale. On that 1.... might be best just calling the manufacturerer direct and asking.

I found it interesting that it said fluoride has been proven to not prevent cavities, but Vitamin D will. I'll have to look into getting a water filter system.

I have to say I don't mind our drinking water. Rarely do I taste the chlorine, but maybe its because I'm used to it. Sometimes I find bottled water so tasteless and hard to drink.

I just tried searching for water filtration systems, but really do not know where to start. Brita does not remove the fluoride, though it would be extremely handy to have the water in a pitcher ready to pour. Also, it's not advisable to have everything removed such as with distilled water. My husband learned some years ago that distilled water would actually flush minerals from your body since this water is lacking any.

I know there are sales people that will go into your home, but they are touting just one product, where can I look online to find good reviews and comparisons?
