I always said, they could kill us all through our supply of drinking water ......This being a little slower than I had anticipated.
I prefer the taste of well water myself...I'll take a bit of iron in my drink over that darn chlorine scented crud any day of the week!

We use a Brita filter for the chlorine: does anyone know if it filters fluoride as well?

I dunno. I've got an RO system with a DI phase for some of my more "sensitive" plants. I'm familiar with the system I have and that would take out chlorine and fluoride but I'm not familiar with the Brita filters. I just looked em up and some folk are saying they do and some are saying they don't so it might depend on which model you have if there's more than 1 available for sale. On that 1.... might be best just calling the manufacturerer direct and asking.

I found it interesting that it said fluoride has been proven to not prevent cavities, but Vitamin D will. I'll have to look into getting a water filter system.
I have to say I don't mind our drinking water. Rarely do I taste the chlorine, but maybe its because I'm used to it. Sometimes I find bottled water so tasteless and hard to drink. ~~~~~~~~~ I just tried searching for water filtration systems, but really do not know where to start. Brita does not remove the fluoride, though it would be extremely handy to have the water in a pitcher ready to pour. Also, it's not advisable to have everything removed such as with distilled water. My husband learned some years ago that distilled water would actually flush minerals from your body since this water is lacking any. I know there are sales people that will go into your home, but they are touting just one product, where can I look online to find good reviews and comparisons?
