We haven't but we found a migrating bird banding...

We haven't but we found a migrating bird banding station today and plan to go tomorrow and watch or help. They start at dawn and band for six hours, 7d/wk, for six weeks. I better get to sleep! :)

The water level at our favorite local swamp has been very low this year but we did see three Great Blues, an Egret and some Green Herons.

Lower water level can mean a higher concentration of fish...

The Green Herons do migrate, wintering in FL but going north for breeding. To me, they are comical and seen to have interesting personalities, making watching them very enjoyable.

But! We also have green herons in the Western NY area too! GrHe are so comical to watch!
