excerpts from above:
Quote:
Its the first snow of the season, and its so heavy and wet that it clogs your snowblower. You have two choices. Option 1: Shove your arm between the augers and remove the blockage. The downside: Youll lose your arm in the process, and having it reattached will probably bankrupt you. Option 2: Turn off the machine, grab a broom stick, and chip at the blockage until it crumbles.

You might be thinking, What kind of lunatic would choose option 1? Well, lunatics like the American people. The U.S. spends more than $2 trillion on health care each year, with much of that cash going toward the treatment of obesity-related complications like heart disease and diabetes. Were fixing our health problems retroactively, with medication and surgery, even though we could prevent most of them by making smarter choices about what we eat...

Ha ha ha.... Jewish penicillin makes the list along with oatmeal, walnuts, garlic, winter squash, and a chicken sandwich !!! I’ve got a good recipe for Jewish penicillin if anyone’s interested.

ok, biig did not grow up in a Jewish neighborhood!

# 1: Chili, topped with crunched Doritos, shredded cheddar and sour cream, served with corn muffins made with niblets and chopped chili peppers!

biig> ha ha ha ha!!! Made ya look! Made ya look!!!

Sage> Ya, chili's a good winter comfort food too. I've been playing with corn muffin mixes and I had this can of corn that was gonna expire and tossed it in my batter and it was pretty good. I think I'll be adding corn every time I make corn bread muffins from here on out. My husband would like hot peppers AND tobasco sauce added to the batter but.... that'd probably be pushin it for the rest of us.

hehehe yeah, ya made me look.

Yep, chili's great.

Love cornbread with the add-ins. Corn, chopped chilis. If you try a few chilis in the cornbread, throw a little shredded cheese in too, to take the edge off for the rest of you.
