After seeing havalotta posting "I almost forgot", I decided to throw my hat in the ring too...but, I agree there is a lot of stiff competition! Really, I think it is more about sharing what we've captured "on film"--winning is nice, but sharing is nicer. ![]()

After saying above that I'd throw my hat in the ring, I guess I'd better take the time to search for my entries and get them posted...or it'll be May before I remember again.
Since havalotta decided to go sans-critters this time, I decided to go only critters for a change. The last shot of the bird in flight was actually a surprise--instead of being a missed shot, I finally got a decent bird in flight. The bumble bee in flight was planned, and took a lot of tries to get him in some semblence of focus--but at least he was cooperative and kept flying around exploring right near me.

Dapjwy, great photo of the flying bee! I don't think I'd be able to capture that even if I tried!

What BW said. I can only photograph things that hold still. Way to go, Dap.

I'm not the photographer that some of you are, but I had a very good time wandering around Toledo parks last weekend. Here are some of the results.

Rebek, all four are beautiful shots, no need to be shy about those!

Thank you both. ![]() Things that hold still...or at least stick around for a while are about all that I can handle too. If I can do it, I'd bet you both could too. Give it a try some day when you have a cooperative subject...and you're feeling patient. ![]()

![]() Thank you for sharing...I almost feel like I got out in the woods there now too. Great to see the trillium and the mayapple patch...but I especially like the emerging oak leaves.

This was a VERY slow month, enlivened only by a brief snowstorm - even had to dredge up one image from last year!
The robin nest is on top of our electric meter - at least she has a clear view...
