Oh...and I forgot to mention, with today being "leap day" there is one extra day to get those entries in...come on you last minute people!

I had one or two mid-month that I thought about adding, not sure I could find them now. (Well, not without a little effort...me feelin' lazy at the moment.)

Okay, I took some photos today when I got home--we had some snow, and I went out to feed the birds...the chickadee let me take some close ups--right there, not even through a window...but those weren't entry worthy. This one, from a little farther away might be:

Yes, and they can become rather trusting.

I've never got to the point where they'd come to seed in my hand, but then I've not really tried...not much patience, I guess.

That's a cute black-capped, we get the Carolinas here dap. Still just as cute!

My dad used to get them to eat out of his hand when he went on his walks in the park with his best friend. I always wanted to see that.

I've only seen Carolinas in field guides.

Here I am as always... a day late and a dollar short!!! I'm posting em anyway!!! 1st is a habitat brush pile that had Little Bunny Fru Fru paw prints all around it. 2nd is a Hawthorn branch. 3rd is an island of native shrubs I planted a few years ago that's started filling out nicely.

Ahhhh so you ARE still alive!
That's real near to what I'm seeing right about now...So peaceful, Apple pie and fire hugging time.
Looks like you weathered out the tornadoes ok. How close where they to you?
