Oh goodie. (Not really though) but it appears Linrose will be filling in for me doing the one legged stance.
I can sit down now.....Pooooooor Linrose.

A puff ball sitting among the puffballs. Nice composition! What are they Dapjwy?

After viewing Suuntos frost photos I,I,I,I, froze and forgot to add the photo into post #19
It's since been added but you'll need to back track a bit for the viewing.

Thanks.

I'm assuming you are asking about the "puffballs"...they are the seeds of sycamore trees. Just in case you were asking about the bird...it is a goldfinch in its winter plumage (but I think you knew that).

We're getting a bit of snow today! Earlier it was big, fluffy flakes, the kind that clings, (above) but now it's changed to the much smaller flakes which aren't as pretty.

To stop the flakes, (above) use a fast shutter speed; to track the snow fall, a slow shutter speed.

Common guys! Only a few days left to post your January pix! Slam me!

I can't be slamming you *too* hard, but I'm sure the others can!
I COULD, choose to hit you alongside the head with a barrage of dirty snow balls that would send you a reeling!
LOOK OUT!

You are probably 6-7 hours from me, I think. No snow here. I finally got out in the yard and DID something. Temps around 40 or so...and the ground is not frozen...so I got out and got rid of some two-three year old multiflora rose bushes that I've been meaning to pull...I let them go too long and had to pull out the pick.

Thanks for the photo tips...I remember about shutter speeds from a photography class I took years ago...but, I need some SNOW to try out the frozen/still flakes...or the blurred/"tracked" flakes. I'm starting to wonder if your weather is heading our way.

As for photos...yes, please post some more...too few the last couple of months.
