Very cool shot, Lib. I like the longer dimension of the photo, too.

Thanks!!! The photo sucks but the feel I get when I'm there is saved when I look at the photos I've taken over the years. This year I caught that some of their snags toppled over into the water. They erected artifical snags that the herons took to. It gave me goosebumps seeing new nests in what looked like platforms balanced atop oversized camera tripods.

I wouldn't say it sucks, but I understand that it means more to you than just what meets the eye.

Cool. Great to know they accepted the artificial nesting platforms. You have me wanting to get some nesting herons! Gotta build a pond first! There is a snag nearby if I get the pond done--but I assume they'll want a bigger body of water (there is a large that I get a glimpse of if I squint and there is nothing leafed out in front of it...so who knows).

I'm going to guess Dapjwy took a photo of a raindrop on its way down.
Sage, Your shots are a welcomed addition.

Ding-ding-ding! [However, if you read my reply to suunto, I very nearly spelled it out for you, so you decide if you deserve the prize (pride) or the rice-a-roni. ]

How cool is that!?!

...but, I'm on to you, havalotta: You pulled some funky-patterned dress out of your closet, threw it on the bed, and started snapping photos. Nice try!
