Thanks everyone!!! I'm liking the one of the damselfly on hava's hand best since that one was the hardest to get. I musta chased around after that damselfly for a half hour before it decided it'd hang out on her hand.
-- scarecrowsdrm> You lucky duck you living where it looks like a National Forest!!! Those photos were taken at Hiawatha National Forest. Where I live it doesn't even look close to anything like where we were hiking.

Here are the peer pressured entries or, more sociably, here by popular demand:
The first is boneset still in bud; the second is blanketflower with insect; the third is an Eastern Hophornbeam bladder fruit, and the fourth is a bee working a purple coneflower

~sigh~ Succumbing to peer pressure--what kind of example are you to your students?!?
(Aside from that, I really did like the first one and think I was one of those who thought it belonged here...and, although I said I liked the last shot, I believe the one with the bee on the flower was what was suggested for the contest.)

Welcome aboard Jack!
There I go again loving the pastels...Maybe I ought to go shopping for a few things in those tones. I seem to enjoy them so.

Thank you! I had lost the marker identifying what i had planted last year. Dap helped me out and told me it was Boneset, which I then had remembered planting.

Thank you! I guess I too like the boneset most. But I also am attached to the hophornbeam capsule. That would be my second favorite.
