~smile~ Happy accident? Even so, it is beautiful and you will likely try something similar in the future intentionally with similar results.

It was kind of cool to see so many--even better than the three I'd missed the day before.

I did wonder it they were going to try to ride out the storm there (not my first choice)...or if they were planning on staying to the last minute.

Thank you. I wish the clarity were better, but when viewed at normal size it doesn't look too bad. Not nearly as nice as your avatar.

I wish I could take credit for my avatar, because it IS an excellent photo. The photo was taken by our mycologist friend, jpdenk, who very kindly allowed me to use it. He is not only an authority on fungi but a photography maven as well (and an outstanding photographer).

Great job, jpdenk...and very kind of you to allow Hedge to use it.

Cool to hear that it is not just something found out on the 'net, but the work of someone we know.

~smile~ I didn't mean to suggest that you would! I *think* that there are places to get free, copyright-free avatars/photos. (My memory is not cooperating with me as I try to come up with the right term. Sigh. Oh, well.)

"Stock" that is at least part of what my memory wouldn't come up with --after searching the net I found what searching my mind wouldn't come up with: "royalty free" photos.

Thanks... I have 867 saved subscriptions to fall back upon if search doesn't pull them in. WOW I didn't know I was THAT active.
