eyes POTM Judges needed ... hopefully short term

Greetings my friends,

Recently (January) I had to have surgery which revealed a stage IV cancer. As of three days ago the chemo port was removed in emergency surgery after the catheter shifted itself from one vein into another, causing a complete blockage/obstruction of the right jugular vein. Chemo will be postponed for at least half-a-year while damage heals, blood thinners work, and a new port can finally be installed for 6 more months of chemo...

Needless to say, I need at least one, if not three, individuals willing to step up and take over for me until I am healed and back on chemo, or at least able to see beyond tomorrow. Please let me know via either a PM or a post to this thread if you wish to take over for me and I will (hopefully remember to) make sure that the appropriate WG Staff is informed of the unanticipated, and hopefully temporary, changing of the judge(s).

I will miss interacting with everyone here, but my priority must be to heal before I can continue to play. If I don't heal ... well, the Doc says I may not stick around too long.

There are a couple of people here that seem capable of helping out. I'm sure they will show up soon. You do such an excellent job at judging.
Take care of yourself,we will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

Ohhhh no...
You work on getting better Dave, We'll take care of whatever's needed here.
Could we do a monthly poll?
We all seem to enjoy participating in them as much as participating in the contests themselves.

Oh my goodness, Dave! I hope everything works out for you. I definitely understand why you need to drop everything of lesser importance and focus on fighting the cancer.

As for POTM, a poll seems like a good idea to me. I rarely submit, but I look.

Oh, Dave, so terribly sorry to hear of your news and I certainly wish you the best! You must take care of yourself first. Do not concern yourself with this contest which is of no consequence compared to what you are dealing with.

We who enjoy posting the pix are not at all in it for prizes either. I think havalotta's idea suits the bill. And if that doesn't work, we can just post our best for a given month and be satisfied with seeing everyone else's pix.

Dave,

Do all you need to do to get well...and come back and play here again when you are ready.

Everyone has already said much better than I could how we feel about you and your recovery. I also agree that a poll sounds good to me...and that we are not in it for the prizes anyway.

Take care of yourself. Post when you can.
