(Answer below)

And when you need to disengage your mind for a minute or two, here are a couple to run your eyes over:

The riddle: The top of broken tree A, on the right, fell into a V crotch in tree B, on the left, and is stuck there, hanging just above the ground.

Those have an outer white stripe below the red instead of the yellow that the red-winged blackbirds have.

This link shows the many differences in first year, second year and after second year (mature) red-winged blackbirds.

Wonderful pix on that site, Maggy! My view of that bird was so quick I just remember thinking it looked like a Red-wing Blackbird except for the white patch, but the pix on this site show it could have been a younger bird. Thanks!

Oh, one last entry taken yesterday at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve.

I've never seen a squirrel before with such a beautiful smile and had to share it!

Aw! Amazing shot!

It looks like a live-action version of a Disney critter!

Maggy You're quite the character...Well it was your camera.
Benji1 I like the vine against the rock. Plain and simple. It is a good one to rest ones eye upon...
