Sorry it has been so long since I have checked in. I start chemo in a few days.

In January I had urgent surgery for a bowel blockage. It turned out to be a stage 4 colon tumor with involvement to the lymph system.

I will be picking up the new computer this week so I can be back online more than I have been - the January vacation screwed up the timeline for the new laptop...

Ohhh nooooo. You poor thing....
Sounds like they caught it then before it spread to your liver and lungs. Thank goodness!!!
Well that wasn't a very good vacation!
Best you work on getting better for the time being.

Best you work on getting better for the time being.
Contained to one lymph node nearest the tumor in the large bowel. Surgeon took everything he needed to and everything else looked good, chemo is to ensure no nasty cells escaped or remain.

Best wishes fr a speedy recovery, Dave - our family (including me) has a history of intestinal polyps, so I undergo colonoscopies every few years. So far, so good....
