Havalotta, your grouse is beautiful! I don't know if we have them here in NC, but I've certainly never seen one. And Becky, I never knew turkeys had blue feathers. I usually see them from a distance, never that close. I need to get out with my camera. I have some great shots of girls doing high ropes but that doesn't really fit the nature theme.

The winner of this month's contest will receive a 20X30 print of their winning photo or of any other digital photo they have the rights to. The image will be printed on special paper that is water proof and can be adhered to any surface.

This determined little flower has survived overnight freezing temperatures, but even if it could produce nectar, there are no insects left to appreciate its efforts.
