camera2 September 2010 Photo of the Month Contest - post entries here

As crisp winds begin their journey from the North, the season begins to change from Summer to Fall ... let's see what you have that shows the shift from Summers growth to Falls harvest.

We don't have any crisp winds here yet in NC, high 80s and butterflies and moths all round.

Wood chucks are pretty neat animals...
Are they the ones that give you a squeal or was it the muskrats that let out a squeal when startled?

I think that's gotta be muskrats... At any rate, I've never heard a woodchuck squeal.

I love your woodchuck! I only see them by the side of the road occasionally, or unfortunately dead on the road. I don't think they like my soil for digging and I've never seen one on my hill.

Your grasshopper is really cool, too and the goldenrod is beautiful.

havalotta, nice series of photos and narration!

The spent bloom photo elicited a big sigh from me. Summers over! Wah!
