Default July Bears and July Racoons

Red Riding Hood's Cubs are gowing fast!
I was lucky to get a few family photos. Hard to do as those little cubs just don't stay still very long.

July in our woodlands means it's time for Racoon moms to start introducing their babies to the big forest and lessons in foraging.
This Racoon mom has 5 youngins'. I'm still trying to get a photo of all 5 of the little rascals together.

Wow! a family photo with no one blinking or making a face! You are amazing! =)

You *truly* have a wildlife garden! Great pictures. I especially like the last one with racoon in the tree.

Red Riding Hood has had that "nick" in her ear since I first saw her 5 years ago. I'm not sure how it happened. My best guess is that she got into a scrap with another bear. Or perhaps the DNR tagged her at a young age (similar to cow ear tags). The tag is long gone if that was the case.

I wondered if it had been a tag, too.

All of them are great, but I absolutely *love* the third one!

E-
dapjwy is right, that 3rd photo is just beautiful. Any idea what that plant is called?

My next favorite is the 13 lined squirrel hiding in the grass.
