I'm so thrilled to be part of a forum where I can get excited about things like dragonflies! I was going to say they are one of my favorites--but, then I realized so many things are among my favorites--it is that love of nature that we all seem to share. Glad to share it with you all.

Baby chickadees! I think that baby possum has some competition.

They are adorable, I've only seen the adults---and as you all might guess, chickadees are 'among my favorites'. =) I had a pair nesting in one of my nestboxes my first year here, but, I didn't monitor the nest. So, I never got to see the babes! I'm so glad I'm around more this spring.

Myself..... I ended up with a wet behind, so focused on sneaking in I hadn't realized my own tail was soaking up the drink....

...
I hope you think it was worth it--I sure do, but, then again, it wasn't my behind. =)

Slow month, maybe, but beautiful shots. I especially love the sky pictures.

...and thanks for the new take on holes in leaves and petals...I'll start viewing them as my doing a good job providing sustenance for some critters--isn't that what "natural habitating" is all about? (I read a book once where the author coined that phrase... I'm gonna use that along with the term "terraforming".)

I'm really not sure...but, it does make me wonder if they have chameleon-like abilities.

Tiny hairs on their legs trap air allowing the insect to float upon the water without breaking the surface tension.
I have loved coming across water striders since I was a kid. I have to get a water feature built so that I can, hopefully, attract some.

I did not know about the hair-trapping-air thing. Cool to know. Thanks for sharing.

Taken from my balcony jungle
I've started startling rabbits as I've been walking through the yard later in the evenings. I seem to be seeing more of them lately. Maybe I'll get a few shots too.

I like that you got the back view too! =)

Cool that you took them from your (now famous) balcony jungle.
