butterfly milkweed and monarchs

Equilibrium: I am not patient when it comes to monarch season. Last year we raised over 200 in my summer school and classrooms, so I am anxious to get started again. The milkweeds are up, now the butterflies need to get up here and find it!

And yes, John's photo does look like stained glass. He has made me a framed copy of this photo (on overhead film, sandwiched between two pieces of glass) as well as a window cling for my car. He is very talented!

Why aren't you busy getting price stickers on everything?

Driving home (and only seeing its backside) I caught a quick glance of what I thought to be some sort of a shorebird until I noticed the traditional robin dip, run, stop, run.
Once it turned around the red breast was a sure giveaway. I sped home, (Not literally) grabbed the camera, and drove back to the area where I had spied her. I sat quite some time in the car before I noticed her bathing in the creek. Here she is.... A piebald robin.

A piebald animal has both unpigmented (white) and pigmented (Normal coloring) of skin, coat or feathers.

Looks more like the hubby in front ignoring his wife.

Sage is referring to a rummage sale I'll be having tomorrow.
I'm a smarty pants....I price everything BEFORE I pack it into the warehouse.

Default Sessile Bellwort (Uvularia sessilifolia)

This is from last year, although I think I have some staked out nearby, as well as planning to return to the scene of this pic.
