Havalotta, it's great you caught this lovely image before the snow melted.
Benj1, it's nice you were able to capture such a pristine scene.

Best holiday wishes, all.

That's a splendid shot, havalotta, beautifully composed. I love the flash of yellow at the horizon and the softly glowing orange in the sky and reflection.

Default Grow Long Leafs Grow

Some of you may not find this as pretty as I did. Once upon a time the land you see supported thousands of Long Leaf Pines but the cotton industry and our military destroyed that native habitat. What you are looking at now is a young long leaf habitat, full of long leaf pines and native grasses and flowers all thanks to the Fish and Wildlife Agency and the National Conservation Resources Services. It's a wonderful sight to see a native forest regrowing.

Those folks in the fish and wildlife agency type departments of each state do soooo much more than how the public thinks of them - as game wardens.

I don't know about 'pretty' as in eye candy, but it certainly is inspiring to the spirit to see these kinds of projects.

MaggyNoLia, I agree with you. It is a sight that would make my heart sing, too.
